I bought these paper towels because they are unbleached and I use them to absorb extra moisture in bags of carrots and tubs of salad. Since they are more natural than regular towels, I feel OK about using them in this way. However, to use them to clean up spills, they fall far short. They are not absorbent at all and fall apart easily. They are stiff and not useful at all for cleaning purposes.

I really like these! I also think there's something psychological about liking them more because you rarely see unbleached paper towels unless they're the really harsh ones a lot of work places or restaurants use, but when you use these, they feel comfy like regular paper towels you'd use at home. I think we aren't expecting it since we always associate the unbleached ones with being rough and subpar. These work really well, and the roll lasted a good while. Not to mention I love what the company stands for. I tried to rebuy them, but my grocery store is currently sold out of this brand.

I use these paper towels exclusively. They are not soft and puffy like some well known brands, however they do the job. They are very absorbent, one roll goes a long way, and they dont leave those little paper fibers behind like some of the puffy brands. They are the best for washing windows, cleaning spills, and they are tough. They dont beak or rip when they get wet. I really like that they are recycled. I can give upmthe softness for an equally good paper towel to have a few less trees cut down. I find these as good as well known store brands, better for the environment, and they hold up we

Medium thickness eco friendly paper towel
This paper towel is not the super thick kind, but also not so thin that it will fall apart after the first use. Love that it uses recycled materials, and that it is very absorbent. Somewhere in between the super economy wafer thin towels and the industrial strength thick quicker cleaner uppers. Pleased with this paper towel and would recommend.

I love these unbleached paper towels. I love that they are environmentally friendly because that is important to me. I don't see how this product could be improved its awesome. I feel that this product is affordable. I would highly recommend this product.

I love this brand! I use a lot of their products - especially the laundry line and their dish line - and they're eco friendly. I try to stay away from paper towels since they are not eco friendly but now due to COVID I need to have some around to clean/disinfect my items. this paper towel is great (not thick like Bounty, but it didn't disintegrate upon touching liquid lol) and the 6 pack lasted me for a while! I definitely recommend this brand for an eco friendly affordable alternative to Bounty.

Easier on the Environment
I have cut my use of paper towels to a minimum but still have a roll on the sink times when only a paper towel will do the job. I like that these are unbleached, helping to keep bleaching chemicals out of the water at the processing plant. I'm not a chemist, but it's important to me that these are unbleached and compostable.

AWESOME product!
I like ALL Seventh Generation products because they focus on health, safety and recycling in their natural products. These paper towels are thick, absorbent and not bleached with dioxin! I use Seventh Generation products whenever I can. I also use Seventh Generation Disinfecting Wipes and Disinfectant Spray! All excellent!

I am impressed with them. They are not what I typically purchase however, during this time of paper products being hard to find, I was able to find some of these. I have looked on this site and am wondering if they are compostable. I know they are made of recycled paper but truly curious if I can place them my backyard composter. Pretty happy with their clean up and love that when you get to the last towel they are not glued to the roll.

Great size. Absorbs liquid quickly; perfect for cleaning and drying surfaces and hands. Durable and tough. Love the brand and this product, My kiddo tends to go through paper products quicker than seemingly possible; yes, hes bunch, scrunch and clean culprit. I like to think using unbleached recycled paper products is one way of countering the habit.

Aaaaall of the Seventh Generation paper towels must be good for small messes. Whenever I use it for anything, it disintegrates a little too quickly. Or better said, its very thin. It doesnt disintegrate like toilet paper would, but it doesnt quite absorb. The main reason I give it a three is because it 100% recycled and I really appreciate products like that.

Great for compost
Overall, I really like these. They are a bit flimsy, but I didn't expect them to be super strong or absorbent. My one major complaint is that there is no "pick a size" option as another reviewed mentioned. So, I end up using larger pieces than needed. I really like using these so I can add them to my compost and avoid bleached products. I will definitely buy again.

Love the unbleached paper towels but don't use them for every day because they are not pick-a-size. I do use the Seventh Generation white pick-a-size chlorine free for that. Seventh Generation, I've been buying your product since the late 80's, early 90's. Hope you'll listen to the comments on this review page asking for pick-a-size. Thank you.

I really want this to be a 5 star item but the recycled, thin, course/rough, cheap feeling paper towel makes it hard to overlook the cost for the obviously failing quality even with the environmentally friendly angle. I won't buy them again. But I do know it's better for the environment. If I was super worried, I'd skip these all together and just use cloth towels and wash them. Just saying.

Great Paper Towels
I buy quite a few different Seventh Generation products, but this is the first time to purchase the Jumbo Roll paper towels. Love that they are 100% recycled and no added dyes, fragrances and unbleached. Each sheet is larger than most paper towel sheets which is also a big plus. Definitely will buy these again!

Because this is a brand name you can get coupons from their website and online to get these paper towels cheaper than you would any store brand. I really like the rigid texture because it helps break up anything sticky and holds together well when other paper towels would start to rip apart. I haven't had any issues or felt like it absorbs less than other paper towels, in fact I prefer this. I love the fact that these are recycled and don't risk any quality in the process. If they can recycle and make a better product than it was before, I'm all for it. I love these and I would recommend that

Seventh Generation is quickly becoming one of my favorite brands, and when I saw they had recycled paper towels, I couldnt help myself! Im so glad I tried these! A great brand, and an affordable (it was actually cheaper than some of the larger brands), eco-friendly product.

Very quality product and good for the planet. They don't rip or tear easily and hold up good in competition with the more commercialized products available. Affordable and worth the cost to make the impact I can on saving our planet and supporting clean brands that care.

I bought several
This is the usual brand that I like. I do get symptoms for chemical sensitivity so I get used to a brand and keep purchasing. I believe that the minimum is 3 per order and I bought 2 sets. They are full sheets and thick enough to work. I sometimes rip 1 sheet in half. I plan on purchasing this product again.

Ever since I discovered this I really don't buy any other brand of paper towels. They are thick and work great, if not better. I don't need a lot to clean up any mess, they absorb really good and hold the product so it's not dripping everywhere. Affordable and it's recycled! Highly recommend giving these a try

Not a huge fan of these. I love Seventh Generation and want to support sustainable brands, but these paper towels just didnt work for us. They were too thin and crinkly to really absorb spills or messes.

If you are used to Bounty, these are not going to meet your expectations. However, these are the best paper towels ever for cleaning anything glass-mirrors/windows etc. or polishing. Bc they aren't plush, they don't leave any pills behind and make the surface very shiny with no streaks. I also always keep a roll on hand for those jobs where I use a paper towel without an extraordinary mess. They do the job for the basics. They aren't fantastic for scrubbing up big or sticky messes so because of that, I actually also buy Bounty and keep these with my cleaning supplies.

Recycled Paper is what drew me to these. I give these a B+ for their absorption, due to them falling apart kind of quickly. Like most of Seventh Generation products, they are a little on the pricey size, but with them made of recycled material its a toss up. I would definitely spend the money, if they just lasted a little longer.

Maybe yes and maybe no
If you want a paper towel that takes rough use, this is a poor choice. It is light weight and fairly flimsy. I can't imagine using them for clean-up duty. If you want a roll of paper towels in your powder room that doesn't look like it should be in your kitchen but does the hand-drying function, this does the job. They are considerably more expensive than the standard kitchen towel variety, but when doing comparison pricing with a similar towel, it is a good value. If you need or want an unbleached towel this fits the bill.

Suggestions for improvement
Decently strong and absorbent, but the odor is just terrible. I don't know why but these have a glue type smell that is very unpleasant compared to other recycled towels I've tried. What are you bleaching these with? Also, would love to see closer to 100% recycled material!

Are they as heavy duty as say a more popular brand, no. But honestly I would rather use this brand over anything else just because they are a good company and eco friendly and cruelty free. I know Im reducing my carbon footprint and not destroying my environment with these. They get the job done and honestly thats all that matters to me. We are starting to get into more reusable products so we dont buy these as frequently as we did but if you are looking for the switch this is a great company and brand to start using.

No, Seventh Generation paper towels are not thick and luscious and lovely, but they are effective enough, and worth switching over to for our environment. The cost is similar to other popular brands. I do find that these ones seem thinner than SGs white variety. Not sure if thats just in my mind, though!

7th Generation did it again - Great Product
wasnt sure of BROWN color but doesnt matter, its a paper towel. Do wish they would cut down to smaller size. But it absorbs nicely - even for cooking bacon. Not a harsh paper-softer. Good product.

Top quality product
No need to "compromise" to use economically sound products. You wont have to do so with these, either. Good, sturdy, absorbent towels on par with the top brands. The look even enhances the rustic, country feel of the kitchen. I love 'em!

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of these paper towels. I'm trying to do my best and not contribute to the already steady deterioration of our Earth and every small step helps, even paper towels. I expected these to tear easily or be stiff and they're neither. They're super absorbent too and work just as well as any other paper towel, IMO.

This is a pretty standard paper towel. I like that its 100% recycled and dont feel so bad using a few extra sheets. It is absorbent and stands up to some of the bigger brands. I would buy this again but I tend to buy my paper towels from Costco and they dont carry this brand.

The only paper product (I have found) that is 100% recycled! I do wish the texture was a bit better, hence the 4 stars, but they are environmentally friendly, do the job and are affordable. As long as you are attached to a specific brand of paper towel then I recommend at least giving them a try, youll dry your hands feeling a bit better about the impact youre having on our earth.
