From prevention to treatment mole skin is the key!
To be honest I bought this as a prevention of the possible things we can encounter while doing the Camino De Santiago in Spain, but with little hesitation, I read they could help, but one things is reading it and other thing is experience it. We were walking daily about 15 km, so blisters were an option to occur. My daughter got them first, we start using mole skin, and we got so impressed with te results, we applied the mole skin the night after she got her blisters, by the following morning they were shrunk, the pain and uncomfortable feeling was almost gone! And she was ready to hit the way

Great overall, with a couple shortcomings
I like this kit overall. PROS: - The layout is very nice and easy to find what you are looking for by category. - I think it has all the basic items you would need and a decent price. I actually priced out all the individual items in the kit and found it would cost about $25 more to build the kit myself, not including the Wilderness and Travel Medicine Guide. So unless there are enough items in the kit you don't want to offset the cost of building one yourself, the price is probably reasonable. CONS: - The bag material doesn't feel overly durable. I have an older, discontinued Adventure Medica

Nice kit
This medical kit has a good amount of supplies in it. The bag design is really cool, how it folds out and each little bag/compartment is labeled. Its pretty light weight and it has more room for any extra items youd want to add to it. Like a specific medication. I think if the bag were made out of dyneema it would be great, just to protect the supplies in case of rain or it falling on water

Perfect addition for any outdoor enthusiast
My family and I love to go hiking, mushroom hunting, backpacking, etc. We also have a medical kit with us in our bug-out bags, car, and any backpack we take with us. We took this one with us up mushroom hunting. This has most anything we could need. It is also compact and lightweight. I used a carabiner to attach it to the outside of the backpack so it would be easy to get to. I love how organized it is. We are looking in to getting some of the other varieties, especially one for our dogs.

its simple yet powerful in the right hands.
First off to everyone who gave this a bad review. It sounded like you never even examined the kit prior to your expeditions. The first thing I did was open it to review all contents prior to even leaving my house with. I did add a Mylar blanket into the kit. About 3 weeks ago I had to put this kit to the test when my wife fell and broke her ankle while on trial and it did wonders. The design on the bag made everything easy to find which allowed me to stabilize my wife with in minutes and my added Mylar blanket kept her warm until the rescue team arrived. I would have given this a 5 but the bag

BlisterMedic Kits at REI
Recently required the use of BlisterMedic kits before and after a few long hikes, including an alpine climb wearing brand new rigid mountaineering boots. BlisterMedic prevented my feet and toes from developing hot spots and protected developed blisters while hiking. I highly recommend BlisterMedic for all activities.

Great product!
I got this a couple weeks ago to put in my car. I was very pleased with this product. The backpacker looks small but it has a lot of little zipper pockets with a lot of items you need for basic frist aid. The quality of the bag itself is pretty decent expect the material used is a little thin. I think this item is great and can be bought along for all kinds of outdoor activities. I would get another one.

Misleading Packaging
At best, I think this packaging is misleading, at worst, it's downright deceptive. On the top-right of this thick package it states "24 Adhesive Dressings." I squeezed the package when I picked it up and thought - WOW, it must contain some very large, nice cushiony blister dressings - just what I needed for my blisters. Prominent on the bottom-left of the package it states "GlacierGel Multi-Day Hydrogel Dressing." Sounded good to me, so I bought it. Unfortunately, when I opened it at home, I found only TWO hydrogel dressings - one large and one small. The rest of the pack contained some precut

Quality product
I just received my new Mountain Series Backpacker Medical Kit and I am amazed at how many supplies come in this very nice looking quality kit. It folds out into separate sections that are all labeled to help make finding things fast and easy. I feel like I have everything I could possibly need for a medical emergency all in one little easy to carry pouch. It even contains a wilderness medical guide book. This is a great kit.

My husband owns a Handyman Service and needed a good medical kit, and this one fit the bill. Everything needed for injuries on the job. It's neatly put together and easy access to anything needed. Just a few add ons for more intense injuries, and the kit will be totally complete. A snake bite kit is next, and a few tourniquets, just in case. Overall, great buy at a great price.

This first aid kit is amazing. It has everything you need in a small, compact case perfect for throwing in with hiking or camping gear. Its lightweight so you wont even notice it is there. Inside, everything is labeled so it would be easy to locate even in an emergency. You get a lot of product in here as well to last for days if needed. They really thought of everything and its a must have if you are an outdoors person.

For the person who is accident prone
This is probably the one piece of kit that you never want to use, but you always carry just in case. I think the kit is very well packed, and stocked. I have added a few odds and ends, but in general is a great base kit for a long weekend backpacking trip. I tend to be very accident prone, so if it is a day trip or a two week backpacking trip I always bring a kit similar to this, and now that I have purchased this Adventure Medical Kit it will be this kit.

All the basics
I think any first aid kit is going to be missing something that you personally would want. but the good news is you can add it! it's stuffed pretty full but I added quik clot pads without an issue, and you can easily add or sub some different meds. I love the book that comes with it too. I would say this is an excellent kit, just review what's in it and what your needs are for the trip you're going on. I also love that you can get the refill packs on stuff you use. now I don't have to feel like I have to save everything for an emergency and can freely take an aspirin or whatever if I need it.

Great small kit
This is a great small first aid kit. It's light enough to carry hiking, and small enough that it doesn't take up much room in my pack. When something happens, you don't want to be rummaging around a disorganized kit, and the organizational system inside this one is really helpful and makes it easy to find what I need! I like this kit so much that I bought a second one to keep in my car for trips to the park and other adventures in town.

Has everything you need
You could probably put together a similar first aid kit and tailor it to your needs for about the same price and even save some weight and volume. That being said, this kit makes it simple for you to buy everything in a single package. The container is a heavy duty, high denier nylon that protects all the contents. I typically pack it on the top of my backpack so that it is easily available. I've had to pull it out quickly in more than one situation. Contents are quality products and the layout of the kit makes it easy to restock. This has been our main kit for 4 night trips with 2-6 people.

A good starter-kit for backpacking
I am new to backpacking and was looking for a starter-kit upon which to build. After rigorous searching, this kit came out on top. It has all of the things I need for an overnight trek in the woods, and more importantly, it has compartmentalization of items by area, making it easier to find what I need in an emergency. Very happy with this unit.

Concise, complete, and well organized
This is a concise, very well organized and complete kit. It provides me with an intuitive way to address small and large incidents. I feel confident I'll be prepared for most injuries and medical issues when in the wilderness. Not too heavy, not too big and a very important part of the camping gear I carry.

I'm not a outdoor person by a long shot but I do know that you should always have a emergency first aid kit on hand!! So excited I am about to pop
Its an emergency kit. Asking for a review now is like asking for me to review a fire extinguisher before I use it. As far as a blister repair kit goes it does a magnificent job of sitting in its bag and waiting until I have a blister.

Not thought through
Took it with me for a four day hike of Inca Trail. Kit has 3 different types of painkillers (Ibuprofen, Aspirin, and Ibuprofen - 4 doses each), but only 2 doses of loperamide (antidiarrheal drug). 2 doses for two people on a four day trip for the most frequent condition when on a trip. Obviously when it hit me and my tour guide, I ran out of it in the first 4 hours leaving me to wonder if some combination of painkillers can help. Lesson learned - will never trust REI kits of any sort again.

I go camping a lot and was in REI and decided to check out their blister care section becaue I get blisters on the toes and on the achilles area from running. I decided to give this pack a try since it looked like it had a great variety. I used it when I got new shoes and the she was rubbing my toes and schilles area. I put moleskin in those areas, but the adhesive was weak and the moleskin was so thin it gave virtually no relief and was off within the hour. So I decided to give the glacial gel a try. It was decent, my only complaint is they only give you one of each size, so if you have blist

The moleskin is worthless
I suspected trouble when I opened the package in my hotel room in So Filipe, Fogo island, Cape Verde. I had just come back from a hike steeply up the rim of Fogo's caldera and had way overextended myself. One result was painful blisters. So I eagerly extracted the moleskin, only to discover that it was peeling from its backing right out of the package. I applied it anyway but, sure enough, it had almost no adhesive strength and soon peeled off my toes. In addition, the cutout holes were too big for my blisters and the moleskin was too thin. It was useless. I'd like my money back. Fortunately,

This is a disappointing kit for $100. It claims it can meet the needs of 7 people for 14 days, yet the supplies are seriously lacking for that size of group over that period of time. There were just two blister dressings, for example, just three After Bite wipes, and just three Triple antibiotic ointments. You'd be better designing your own kit with reasonable quantities.

I bought this item for a 10 day camping/hiking trip and it is a perfect size to either place in your vehicle or pack. The design of the kit has easy access to all the items. The first aid items themselves are quality made and durable. Always bring a First Aid kit with you. A good start
I bought my first of these a few months ago when I was getting ready to make trip out to Zion and Bryce Canyons. It worked pretty well. I preferred the thinner type of mole skin. I developed some blisters a couple weekends ago when out for a hike. I was only about 1.5 miles in on a big uphill climb. I applied the mole skin with some tincture of benzene and my heels were super happy. I ended up completing a total of 9 miles that day with no problems. I just bought another kit to add to my collection. I wish there was a bigger kit I could buy.

This kit is useless, we don't recommend to buy it! It doesn't help to prevent blisters, nor does it contain anything to treat them (it does not contain any actual blister plasters!). We were on a backpacking trip, got blisters and thought this rather expensive, fancy looking kit will do it, but we were wrong! Luckily some fellow hikers had some Compeed Blister plasters and those worked perfectly.

Die-cut has its pros and cons
Somehow I thought this kit would have more oval blister bandages (it only had two), but I had mistaken the pre-cut moleskin for those bandages. Unfortunately, in the field, none of the shapes of the pre-cuts quite fit the hot-spot on my foot. Another problem was that the moleskin came off my foot twice when I removed my sock (stuck to the sock), so I had to re-apply. Didn't need to use the alcohol prep wipes, nor the antiseptic, so those will be useful in future first-aid kits.

Much better than an inflatable pillow, which I found to slosh around like an old waterbed, this pillow is like the one on your bed at home. Smaller, thinner, but same type of comfort. Too thin? Put a bit of clothing under it. Best camp pillow!

Avoid at all Costs
Bought this product to take on the Camino de Santiago and found it to be utterly useless. While I liked the pre-cut shapes, the moleskin was half the thickness of other products and would not stay adhered to my foot. The moleskin would barely stay attached for more than an hour. Stick with Dr Scholls or another similar product.
